As part of the 2017 Hunter Valley Wine and Food Festival, we are excited to host a range of culinary events, bringing back some firm favourites such as Heroes of the Hunter and the Hunter Valley Wine Festival and a few new surprises.

Heroes of the Hunter

Enjoy the 5 course Heroes Of The Hunter degustation menu in Redsalt Restaurant. The specially designed menu will showcase the finest local produce with each dish perfectly matched to our favourite award-winning wines from the region. Relax in comfort after your meal with overnight accommodation.

Hunter Valley Wine Festival

Celebrating the best of Hunter wine, food and entertainment, the 5th annual event returns bigger and better than ever before. Featuring the best of the Hunter Valley’s large and boutique wineries, the Hunter Valley Wine Festival will offer wine, beer and cider tastings throughout the day, as well as regional gourmet delights.

The Festival is a uniquely family-friendly event. All children will receive complimentary entry to the Festival, where they will enjoy a  variety of activities including a jumping castle, train rides, carousel, mini car rides and face painting.

Lovedale Pie and Lager

Wild Food Weekend

Try something a little unusual. As part of the Wild Food Challenge, our chefs at Redsalt Restaurant have created a unique menu utilising wild ingredients sourced from certified local suppliers that will be sure to surprise.

Dates: 17th and 18th June
Location: Redsalt Restaurant, Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley
Entree – Rabbit and Wild Boar Bacon Ravioli with Macadamia Nuts and Pumpkin.
Main – Roast Wood Duck Breast, Braised Cabbage, Carrot Puree with Gloria’s Wild Thyme Jus.
Dessert – Lemon Myrtle Panacotta with Finger Lime Syrup.
