Tyrell’s Wines

As far as Hunter Valley wineries go, this one has 150 years of winemaking experience and is loaded with history and heritage. Visit the cellar door and taste some of their award winning wines or take a tour to experience the old oak vats and historic red cedar still in operation.

Waverley Estate

The only Aged Wine Specialists in the Hunter Valley. All wines are bottled for at least 10 years before being released. Why not try the 1993 Semillon, awarded the best Semillon in Australia.

Brokenwood Wines

This is a highly recommended winery to visit for those who love a truly spectacular Shiraz. Their Flagship Graveyard Vineyard Shiraz has long been a stand out in the region.

Pepper Tree Wines

With a 5 star James Haliday rating, the extensive range of wines from Pepper Tree are sure to please both drinks of light Semillon’s and drinkers of heavy bold Shiraz’s. Also a perfect place to picnic and take a snapshot!

Unique to Hunter Valley wineries is the Champagne House which specialise in traditional method champenoise sparkling wines. With The Hunter Valley Chocolate Company on-site, it is very easily the perfect place to start off a day in the Hunter.
